isabelle and i went on an adventure with my parents (okay, so one person in our group was not a girl) into the woods behind our house. it was really special for isabelle to get some time with her nana and gaga without brother around. of course, she loves all of the attention! nana and isabelle explored the woods toghether and i had fun watching the two of them!

we had to climb over a few fences.

isabelle got a little grouchy when i kept taking her picture…

she picked up a totally disgusting caterpillar and i had to pretend to “like” it.

there was fungi to examine. and snuggles to be had…

snake mt.

we took the kids for a little hike up snake mt. on monday. a bigger hike would’ve been nice for us, but for the kids, it was perfect. they had a lot of fun finding rocks, sticks, big leaves, and bugs, jumping from rock to rock, “hiding” behind trees and jumping out to scare us and exploring at their own pace. but most of all, they really enjoyed “being hikers.”
